I actually picked up that book recently in a used bookstore and instantly recognized your work. Hehe, I would've bought it, but I didn't want my friends to tease me for buying a children's book. ^^;

I really do love this piece. There's just so much character to the giant. Look at him all snug and warm and hugging his teddy bear. Just a silly old man that enjoys stories. ^__^

Anyway, nice seeing this one pop up in my messages. It's always a treat to see, along with your other wonderful works. ^^

I really love the expressions in the giants face and the warm atmosphere which shines out of that artwork. Nowadays it's really hard to find new books with such warmth. It's always like "shiny and bright colors" or "simple figures". So I aways love old illustrations. Somehow it reminds me in one of my favourite books of the swedish artist John Bauer (oh I hope it doesn't bother you, because so many people here tell you "oh this reminds me in..") But maybe you know him, he was a great illustrator!
